商品説明 東洋エンタープライズ社(Toyo Enterprises)のミリタリーレーベル「Buzz Ricksons バズリクソンズ」のミリタリーカーゴショーツ(メンズ ショートパンツ ハーフパンツ 短パン)です。
トロピカルトラウザーズ(Trousers, Men's, Cotton Wind Resistant, Poplin, Olive Green Army, Shade 107)は、1960年代初頭にベトナム戦争時に米陸軍に使用された熱帯用標準被服です。
高温多湿の熱帯雨林ジャングルでの着用を前提に、乾きやすく軽い薄手のコットンポプリン生地が採用されました。
6つのポケット、カーゴポケットに収納されたレッグタイ、裾に通されたドローコード、ウエストサイズ調整用の腰に配されたボタンタブ、ボタンフライ部分のインナーフラップなどの機能性を備えています。
トロピカルパンツは、その採用期間にいくつかの仕様変更が行われ、大まかに3つに分類されます。
ファーストモデルは、コットンポプリン生地、ボタンが露出したポケット、レッグタイが収納されたカーゴポケット、レッグタイを通すための股下のループを特徴としています。
セカンドモデルではリップストップに生地が変更され、ボタンが隠される仕様になり、サードモデルはレッグタイとループが省略されました。
本製品は、そのトロピカルトラウザーズのファーストモデルをベースにしたショーツバージョンの復刻品です。
オリジナル仕様のディテールはそのままに、当時一部の兵士や基地職員が非戦闘時の快適さのためにトラウザーズをショートパンツに改造した、シビリアンカスタムを反映・再現したショートパンツです。
シルエットは、ワイドレッグのリラックスフィットストレートです。
股上は深めのハイライズで、前開きはインナーフラップ付きボタンフライです。
素材はコットン100%のライトウェイト薄地ポプリン生地です。
高密度に織られ強度に優れている薄手生地です。
高温多湿の熱帯雨林ジャングルでの着用を前提に、乾きやすく軽い薄手のコットン生地で、ミリタリーらしい無骨な表情ながら、しなやかな着心地も併せ持つ生地です。
この製品には、ワンウォッシュ加工がかけられています。
ワンウォッシュですでに生地の縮みが発生しているので、洗濯後の縮みが少なくサイズ感が安定しているのも利点のひとつです。
フロント前開きはボタンフライで、トップボタンを含めて5つボタンです。
フロントのボタンフライには部分には、内側のボタンで留められるインナーフラップも付きます。
ポケット数は6つ(＋内ポケット×1)です。
フロントハンドポケット×2、1つボタン留めのバックフラップポケット×2、2つボタン留めのフラップ付きレッグカーゴポケット×2です。
レッグカーゴポケットにはレッグタイ(レッグストラップ)が収納されています。
レッグカーゴポケットの片側面には菊穴が開けられ、レッグストラップを引き出せられる設計にされています。
レッグストラップは股下に付属しているループに通して腿で結んでカーゴポケットの内容物が動き回らないようにしたり、ポケットに弾薬や食べ物などを入れたときにパンツがたるむのを防ぐためだとも言われています。
ストラップを使用しない時は、ストラップをカーゴポケットの内側に戻して収納できます。
さらに、左脚のカーゴポケットの内側にはサバイバルキットを入れるための内ポケットが設けられています。
腰の両サイドには絞り調整用のボタン留めのアジャスタータブが付けられています。
また、このパンツは、7つのベルトループを備えていますので、ベルトも使用することができます。
